Extract pages from a PDF

Pull specific pages out of a PDF into a new, smaller file. Pick a PDF, type the pages you want — a single page, a range, or a mix — and download just those pages. It's ideal for sharing one chapter, removing pages, or splitting a big document. Everything runs in your browser, so the file is never uploaded.

Specifying pages

Combine ranges and single pages, separated by commas:

  • 1-3 — pages 1 through 3.
  • 5 — just page 5.
  • 1-3, 5, 8-10 — a mix; the new PDF keeps them in order.

FAQ

How do I split a PDF in half?

Extract the first half (e.g. 1-10 of a 20-page file) and download it, then come back and extract the second half (11-20). You'll have two separate PDFs.

Does it work on scanned or encrypted PDFs?

Scanned PDFs work fine. Encrypted/password-protected PDFs must be unlocked first, or you'll get a read error.

Is my PDF uploaded to a server?

No. The split happens entirely in your browser, so your file never leaves your device. That makes it safe for confidential documents like contracts, statements, or medical records.

Is there a file size or page limit?

There's no hard limit imposed by the tool, but because everything runs in your browser, very large files use your device's memory. Most everyday documents process quickly; a several-hundred-page scan may take a moment on an older phone.

Does it change the original file?

No. It creates a brand-new PDF containing only the pages you selected and leaves your original untouched, so you can re-run it with different page ranges as often as you like.

Is it free, and does it work on mobile?

Yes, it is completely free with no sign-up or watermark, and it works in any modern browser on phones, tablets, and desktops.
