The Pag-IBIG Multi-Purpose Loan
The Multi-Purpose Loan (MPL) lets active Pag-IBIG members borrow a percentage of their Total Accumulated Value (TAV) — their savings plus dividends. This calculator estimates your loanable amount and the monthly amortization.
How it's computed
- Loanable amount — up to 80% of your TAV (lower percentages are available too).
- Interest — 10.5% per year on a diminishing balance.
- Term — typically 24 or 36 months, paid in equal monthly installments.
FAQ
Where do I find my TAV?
Your Total Accumulated Value is shown in your Virtual Pag-IBIG account or on a member's contribution printout. To qualify for an MPL you generally need at least 24 monthly savings, with 5 in the last 6 months. This is an estimate — confirm current terms with Pag-IBIG.
How is the monthly amortization calculated?
The loan is amortized at 10.5% annual interest on a diminishing balance over your chosen term, so each equal monthly payment covers that month's interest plus a portion of the principal. Early payments are mostly interest and later ones mostly principal, but the monthly amount stays the same.
What's the difference between the MPL and the Calamity Loan?
Both let you borrow against your TAV, but the Calamity Loan is offered only to members in declared calamity areas and typically carries a lower interest rate. The Multi-Purpose Loan is available any time to qualified members for any reason. This calculator covers the MPL.
Can I borrow the full amount of my savings?
No — the loanable amount is capped at a percentage of your TAV, up to 80%, and you can choose a lower percentage if you want a smaller loan and payment. You can't borrow more than your accumulated value supports.
Is this calculator free and private?
Yes — it's free with no sign-up, works on mobile, and computes everything in your browser, so your TAV and loan figures are never sent anywhere. Treat the result as an estimate and confirm the current rate and terms with Pag-IBIG.
